About ArtPlace

The Paverpol center in Denison, Texas

Artplace.com is operated by Artplace, Inc. located in Denison, Texas, a few miles north of Dallas. It operates in conjunction with Artplace Gallery, a fine art gallery, frame shop, and art instruction center teaching many different mediums, styles, and techniques of fine art.

Within the facility space is a Paverpol Creative Learning Center. Two professional artists who have been certified as Paverpol instructors are available to answer questions, demonstrate techniques, and offer ideas for creating many kinds of projects with Paverpol. Shelley Tate Garner is a CPI and Doug Simpson is a Master CPI. Both are college art school graduates who are prolific creators of art as well as experienced teachers.

About the owner...

My name is Doug Simpson and I am a professional artist who discovered an amazing product called Paverpol.

I have been trying to create art ideas that have been in my mind for over 10 years. I have tried many different mediums, techniques, and wild combinations attempting to create what I wanted using my own style and method of working. Most of the known techniques for sculpture involve a series of production steps. Some very expensive and others more time consuming than I like.

The combinations of the products offered on this site are the results of those 10+ years of searching and testing. These products allow the creation of permanent indoor or outdoor art wtih full creative intuitive processes. Projects can be completed in a as little as a few hours or detailed, layered, or finessed for days on end. They can be left natural, painted, stained, glazed, or however you like to finish an art piece.
