Genie Morgan is a native Texan born in Weslaco. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from North Texas University in 1968 and her Master’s degree in Art Therapy from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1981. Genie has taught art at all levels from 4 year olds to adult. She has been in public schools for 23 years plus taught privately throughout her life. She is the mother of three plus two step sons and the grandmother of four and five step grandchildren, oh yes, and a grandmother of an English Angora bunny.
Genie considers herself a life long learner. She constantly seeks new ways to express her ideas by attending a variety of workshops. She has studied with famous artists such as Tony Couch, Judi Betts, Stephen Quiller, Gerald Brohmer, Doug Walton, and others. Her passion is currently in mixed media with an emphasis in fiber arts. Paverpol products provide her with another puzzle piece required to express her creative juices.
