Your imagination is the only limit when it comes to devising uses for Magic-Sculpt
Magic-Sculpt is a two-part self-hardening epoxy clay specifically designed to meet the needs of modelers, crafters and sculptors. It will smooth out with water and can be handled like any water-based clay. Its grain structure is finer than any other product available and will not shrink or crack. It can be shaped by hand or with modeling tools, sanded, carved, painted; you can attack it with a grinding tool and the cured material will not break apart or lose its shape. Magic-Sculpt cures at room temperature so no firing or baking is necessary. It is non-toxic making it great for hand sculpting and molding.
Magic-Sculpt is used throughout the world by hundreds of different crafts and professions — artists, sculptors, taxidermists, furniture restorers, mold makers, manufacturing, museums, sign makers, prop studios, fx artists, ceramicists, doll makers, miniature artists, action figure designers and modifiers, as well as many more.
It has approximately a 3 hour working time from mixing to hardening and can be sanded, drilled or modified with carving tools after hardening. It accepts most paints and is outdoor or underwater durable!
Magic-Sculpt adheres to most surfaces including foam, wood, glass, stone, clay, and almost anything else. Also works as a bonding agent between two different materials.
Use as a sculpting or modifying medium over an armature or mannequin or by itself as a sculpting material. It comes in Natural (light grey), White, Brown, Flesh, Black and Green colors and in 1,5 and 20 lb containers consisting of one container of Resin and one of Hardener to be mixed together in equal quantities.
Originally purchased to repair garden statues. Very easy to use, adheres great and solid. has given me ideas for other projects such as creating items for fairy gardens, etc. I use gloves to work with it & easy clean up. Smooths really well with a little water & no finger prints with gloves Unknown on 12th Feb 2015
This is not the only 2 part epoxy out there, and I admit I have not tried them all. I have spent years constructing sculptures of 2 ro12' out of various materials. This product is fairly expensive on a volume bases, however, I can apply it directly on wood, stone, metal virtually anything and I have a solid water tight exterior product. It is a pain to mix get out your rolling pin! I work at an 8th of an inch and model this stuff. It goes a long way. It's worth the money. Patrick Harris on 26th Jan 2015
an absolutely great product that lives up to its claims. Easy to use and sculpt....many artistic/modeling uses. Long working time.
Sets up rock hard. Bill Hickory on 24th Jan 2015
Finding a non-toxic sculpting medium was no easy task, but this product has given me everything I was looking for. working time is very good and cured weight is perfect as it is heavier than other epoxies that I have tried Unknown on 4th Jan 2015
Very versatile. Has expanded my sculpting capabilities. Unknown on 16th Dec 2014
This product, and all products I've purchased at Art Place, are great. I LOVE this clay. It's opened new avenues for my mosaic art and jewelry/buckle creations. It's so very easy to use and the pigments I purchase here look spectacular rubbed into the clay. I highly recommend this product to all artists! Kate on 15th Dec 2014
The ups man left my delivery outside in -14 below. Needless to say it was frozen by the time I got home at 8 pm. After leaving it in its containers for to days at 65 degrees, it was somewhat plyable. The man I spoke to at Artspace said it would be fine. It's very sticky as well. It sticks to everything including my fingers. When mixing both parts equally, it took 2 days for hardening to cure. It's hard to have it keep shape because it's very flimsy. I think it would perform better on larger sculpture... muddgirl on 25th Nov 2014
Very durable perfect for craft projects Unknown on 13th Nov 2014
I'm using Magic Sculpt in mixed-media mosaics, at times when I have very small, delicate, or odd-shaped pieces that are hard to grout. I love this product but since it's much more expensive than grout, I only use it in small quantities. I find that it's not as sticky when only using a little. Also, I sometimes mix grout coloring in with it, which makes it not stick at all (but then I have to glue it to my substrate after it hardens). Magic Sculpt gives me lots of new options when working with found objects and beads instead of tile in mosaics. I'm glad I've come across this product. Eva on 4th Nov 2014
I love the Magic-Sculpt and how easy and fast it is to form. The curing time is fast enough to get projects out the door quickly but slow enough to add minute details. It is clean to work with if you keep your hands moist with water and takes paint easily. Instant gratification when completing projects. I'm hooked! Kentucky Crafter on 22nd Oct 2014
